Subject: Mapping civilians' tort claims against Israel and the Palestinian Authority - interactive ddatabase

Dear obligations members,

I hope this email finds you well.

Myself, Gilat Bachar, and the NGO Ceasefire are launching an interactive database of over 470 Israeli courts’ rulings on claims for compensation in tort against Israel for the losses its security forces inflicted in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as claims of Israelis against the Palestinian Authority for losses inflicted during hostilities. The database will be available in English, Arabic, and Hebrew, and will include case summaries to make these cases accessible to a wide readership.

We will launch the database on July 19 in an event that is scheduled to take place from 10:00-13:00 at UCL Faculty of Laws (Bentham House, Endsleigh Gardens, London) as well as online. Speakers include Advocate Sawsen Zaher, Amira Hass, and Dr Seth Anizska.

General information on the event and website is available here: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/laws/events/2023/jul/mapping-civilian-harm-claims-against-israel-and-palestinian-authority

Best,

Haim
